Field Notes
The Giant Eagles are noble sky-hunters of the Heartwood, bonded to the elves who ride them from the upper canopy. They are not pets or mounts in the ordinary sense. They are allies of the sky, swift enough to cross the living spires and fierce enough to tear through silk, shadow, and swarm.
Their presence expands the world upward. While the underdark rises from below, the Giant Eagles remind us that the Heartwood has defenders in every direction. In battle, they bring speed, scale, and majesty — a bright, living answer to the crawling darkness.
